[征文大赛文章选登]The Tear Rolling Down My Eye

文-Paola Borella

Driving in the dark night
I reach out to the radio
for some music to accompany me
in my lonely journey
the thermal noise
can only be caused
by the radiation in my heart
the strong signals
tune in the radio
the song is loud and clear,
I stop in my tracks as it takes me back
to a summer’s day

When I danced bare foot
like nobody was watching,
lost in the music
my soul began to fly
the moon caught my eye
glowing with hues of orange
that lit up the lake
and the forest nearby

The radio signal dies
along with the memory
I’m startled by the rain
drumming on the roof,
drenching the windscreen
with mud from the weathered road
I pull over to wipe the screen and
the tear rolling down my eye
